Peer Review Process

The International Review Journal of Education and Research (IRJER) is committed to upholding the highest standards of academic quality and integrity through a rigorous and transparent peer review process. Our aim is to ensure that the research we publish is of the highest caliber and contributes meaningfully to the field of education.

1. Submission

  • Initial Submission: Authors submit their manuscripts through our online submission system, including a cover letter outlining the significance of the research, its originality, and any potential conflicts of interest.

  • Preliminary Review: Upon receipt, the editorial team performs a preliminary assessment of the manuscript to ensure it meets the journal’s scope and submission guidelines. Manuscripts that do not meet these criteria may be returned to authors or rejected at this stage.

2. Reviewer Selection

  • Expert Reviewers: Manuscripts that pass the preliminary review are assigned to expert reviewers. Reviewers are selected based on their expertise in the relevant field, ensuring that they have the necessary knowledge and experience to evaluate the manuscript effectively.

  • Double-Blind Review: IRJER employs a double-blind review process, where both the identities of the authors and the reviewers are kept anonymous. This process helps to eliminate bias and ensure a fair evaluation of the manuscript.

3. Review Process

  • Reviewer Assessment: Each manuscript is typically reviewed by two to four independent reviewers. Reviewers assess the manuscript based on several criteria, including:

    • Originality and Contribution: The novelty of the research and its contribution to the field of education.
    • Methodology: The rigor and appropriateness of the research design, data collection, and analysis methods.
    • Results and Interpretation: The clarity and validity of the findings, and how well they are interpreted and discussed.
    • Clarity and Structure: The organization, coherence, and readability of the manuscript, including the quality of figures and tables.
    • Ethical Standards: Adherence to ethical guidelines, including proper citation of sources and handling of human or animal subjects.

  • Reviewer Feedback: Reviewers provide detailed feedback and recommendations, which may include suggestions for revisions, additional experiments, or clarifications. This feedback is intended to enhance the quality of the manuscript.

4. Editorial Decision

  • Decision Making: Based on the reviewers' feedback, the editor makes a decision regarding the manuscript. Possible decisions include:

    • Accept: The manuscript is accepted for publication with no further revisions required.
    • Minor Revisions: The manuscript is accepted pending minor revisions. Authors are required to address the reviewers' comments and resubmit the revised manuscript.
    • Major Revisions: The manuscript requires substantial revisions. Authors must make the necessary changes and resubmit for another round of review.
    • Reject: The manuscript is not suitable for publication. Authors receive detailed feedback on the reasons for rejection and may choose to submit the manuscript to another journal.

  • Revised Manuscripts: If revisions are requested, authors must submit a revised manuscript along with a detailed response to the reviewers' comments. The revised manuscript may be reviewed again by the original reviewers or additional experts, as necessary.

5. Final Decision and Publication

  • Final Review: Once a manuscript is accepted, it undergoes final editing and proofreading. Authors will receive proofs for review and must approve the final version before publication.

  • Publication: Accepted manuscripts are published in the journal and made available to the public through our open-access platform. This ensures that the research is accessible to a global audience.

6. Post-Publication

  • Corrections and Retractions: In the event of errors or issues identified post-publication, IRJER will issue corrections or retractions as needed to maintain the integrity of the scientific record.

  • Reader Engagement: We encourage readers to provide feedback and engage with published research. Authors are expected to address any post-publication comments or inquiries related to their work.
