Publication Ethics

The International Review Journal of Education and Research (IRJER) is committed to upholding the highest ethical standards in all aspects of the publication process. We adhere to rigorous ethical guidelines to ensure the integrity, transparency, and quality of the research we publish. Our publication ethics are designed to foster a fair, accountable, and respectful scholarly environment.

1. Ethical Principles for Authors

  • Originality and Plagiarism: Authors must ensure that their work is original and has not been published elsewhere. All sources of data, ideas, or text that are not original must be appropriately cited. Plagiarism in any form is unacceptable and will lead to rejection or retraction of the manuscript.

  • Authorship and Contribution: All individuals who have made significant contributions to the research should be listed as co-authors. All co-authors must approve the final manuscript and agree to its submission. Authors should acknowledge the contributions of others who do not meet the criteria for authorship in the acknowledgments section.

  • Conflict of Interest: Authors must disclose any potential conflicts of interest that could be perceived as influencing the research or its interpretation. This includes financial, personal, or professional relationships that could affect the integrity of the research.

  • Ethical Approval: For research involving human participants or animals, authors must obtain and provide evidence of ethical approval from relevant institutions. Manuscripts must include a statement of ethical compliance, and informed consent must be obtained from participants where applicable.

  • Data Fabrication and Falsification: Authors must not fabricate or falsify data. All data reported in the manuscript must be accurate and verifiable. Any errors or inaccuracies discovered post-publication should be promptly corrected.

2. Ethical Principles for Reviewers

  • Confidentiality: Reviewers must treat all manuscripts and associated information as confidential. Manuscripts should not be discussed with or disclosed to others without permission.

  • Objectivity and Fairness: Reviews should be conducted objectively and fairly. Personal biases or conflicts of interest should not influence the review process. Reviewers are expected to provide constructive and unbiased feedback.

  • Competence: Reviewers should only agree to review manuscripts within their area of expertise. If a reviewer feels they are not qualified to assess the manuscript, they should decline the invitation.

  • Timeliness: Reviewers should complete their reviews in a timely manner. If unable to meet the deadline, reviewers should inform the editorial office as soon as possible so that alternative arrangements can be made.

3. Ethical Principles for Editors

  • Editorial Decision-Making: Editors are responsible for making publication decisions based on the quality and relevance of the research. Decisions should be made impartially and based on the merit of the manuscript.

  • Confidentiality: Editors must maintain the confidentiality of all manuscripts and related information. Information about manuscripts should not be disclosed to anyone other than the relevant reviewers and editorial staff.

  • Conflict of Interest: Editors must disclose any potential conflicts of interest related to the manuscripts under review. They must recuse themselves from handling manuscripts where a conflict of interest exists.

  • Handling Misconduct: Editors are responsible for investigating allegations of research misconduct, including plagiarism, data fabrication, and unethical research practices. Appropriate actions will be taken, which may include contacting the author’s institution and retracting the publication if necessary.

  • Promotion of Best Practices: Editors should promote ethical practices in research and publication and encourage transparency and integrity in all aspects of the research process.

4. Ethical Principles for the Journal
